CLASSES AND DEFINITIONS:
Class definitions and judging criteria are based on modified Mustang Club of America (MCA) rules.
All Mustangs – model years 1964-½ through 2026 are eligible for judging and/or a class award.
There are six judged classes:
- Concours
- Unrestored
- Modified
- Occasional Driver
- Daily Driver
- Presidents
1. Concours (CON) (Judged Class) – Mustangs (1964-½ through 2012). Car may be restored or original, must be stock, and have original or replacement parts that are stock appearing. Stock shall mean components that are appropriate for the year, model and trim level of the car, and/or offered as factory or dealer installed options or accessories. Judging will be based on authenticity, condition, workmanship and cleanliness. Undercarriage will not be judged. Presentation – Hood and trunk must be open, windows halfway open, convertible top up.
2. Unrestored (UNR) (Judged Class) – Mustangs (1964-½ through 2012). Vehicle must be stock, and have original or replacement parts that are stock appearing. Stock shall mean components that are appropriate for the year, model and trim level of the car, and/or offered as factory or dealer installed options or accessories. Undercarriage will not be judged. Judging will be based on originality condition and cleanliness. Presentation – Hood and trunk open, windows halfway open, convertible top up.
3. Modified (MOD) (Judged Class) – Mustangs (1964-½ through 2026). Vehicle has modifications, and/or alterations that were not available from the factory or as a dealer installed option, including but not limited to, sheet metal/body panels, paint, engine/drivetrain, air intake, exhaust, suspension, brakes, interior, trunk, and wheels. Vehicle must have a minimum of five discernable modifications from original. Undercarriage will not be judged. Judging will be based on condition, workmanship and cleanliness. Presentation – Hood and trunk open, windows halfway open, convertible top up.
4. Occasional Driver (OCC) (Judged Class) – Mustangs (1964-½ through 2023). Occasional driven cars may have less than 4,000 miles per model year. Undercarriage will not be judged. Judging will be based on condition, workmanship and cleanliness. Presentation – Hood and trunk open, windows halfway open, convertible top up.

5. Daily Driver (DD) (Judged Class) – Pre-registered Mustangs (1964-½ through 2023). Vehicle should be the owner’s daily driven car and have at least 4,000 miles per model year. Interior, exterior and wheels/tires should show normal driving wear for the age and mileage. Cars with antique plates are ineligible for DD Class. Undercarriage will not be judged. Judging will be based on condition, workmanship and cleanliness. Presentation – Hood and trunk closed, windows halfway open, convertible top up.
6. Presidents (PRS) (Judged Class) – (2024 thru 2026). Judging will be based on condition and cleanliness of the exterior, engine, interior and wheels/tires by the President of the SCMC. Undercarriage will not be judged. Presentation – Hood open and trunk open, windows halfway open, convertible top up.
7. Ford-Powered (FP) (Non-Judged Class) – (All Years) This is a special interest, non-judged class for any vehicle that is Ford powered and not a Mustang (Awarded Show Trophy/Award)
8. Display Only (DSP) (Non-Judged Class) – (All Years) Are Mustangs that do not wish to be judged or are late entries (No Show Trophy/Award).
AWARDS:
Gold, Silver or Bronze Award – Awarded to Mustangs entered in the six judged classes (Concours, Unrestored, Modified, Occasional Driver, Daily Driver and Presidents) based on the scoring criteria.
